SIZING INFORMATION

Box dimensions are inside dimensions and should be given in the sequence of length, width, and depth. If because of shipping requirements, outside dimensions are also of a concern, please let us know.

The dimensions of custom boxes are measured based on the opening of the box. The length is the longer dimension of the opening; the width is the smaller. The side perpendicular to the opening is the depth of the box.

MATERIAL INFORMATION

We manufacture with corrugated cardboard. We keep the following materials in stock for quick delivery. Other weights or finishes are available with longer lead times.

200 C Kraft (brown) - rated to hold up to 65 pounds - (This is the weight most commonly used for boxes)
200 C Conlite (white exterior, brown interior) - rated to hold up to 65 pounds
275 C Kraft (brown) - rated to hold up to 90 pounds
275 DW Kraft (brown) - rated to hold up to 90 pounds
350 DW Kraft (brown) - rated to hold up to 120 pounds

COMMON STYLE INFORMATION

RSC - Regular Slotted Container
The RSC can be used for many products and is the most common box style. The outer flaps meet at the center of the box.

FOL - Full Overlap Slotted Container
The FOL is very resistant to rough handling in shipping. When closed, the outer flaps are within one inch of a complete overlap, providing added cushioning. When placed on its side, the extra thickness adds stacking strength.

HSC - Half Slotted Container
The HSC is the same as a regular slotted container without one set of flaps. If desired a lid can be added.

5PF - Five Panel Folder
The 5PF is a convenient way to package long items with a small diameter. It has the added benefit of extra cushioning at the ends. You can chose between a side and a center seam closure.

DSC - Design Style Carton, Telescoping
The DSC is made from two scored and slotted trays. It is many times used for packaging large thin items. The lid can vary in depth from a few inches to the full depth of the box. The customer must glue or staple the slotted ends to the sidewalls.

DC - Double Cover Container
A square cardboard tube forms the body of the box. The top and bottom are design style telescoping trays. This style is usually used for tall or heavy products that would be difficult to lower into a box.

PRINTING INFORMATION
To give your boxes that special custom look we can have a die designed with your company logo. There is a fee for this type of printing die. If your budget is tight, small amounts of block lettering, such as your return address, company name, or fragile can be done with band type lettering, with no die charge.

We do one color printing and keep in stock the basic colors of black, red, green, and blue. Specialty colors are available upon request at an extra charge.
